Born with an Australian backbone and a global side-eye, the DBD exists to poke holes in political puffery, bureaucratic nonsense, cultural absurdities, and anything else that deserves a satirical whack. We’re not here to reinvent journalism, we’re here to duct-tape it back together and slap a sarcastic label on the front.

If you leave with a sharper understanding of the nonsense swirling around us, or at least a decent laugh, then our job here is done. And if something we write gets under someone’s skin? Even better.
